Eileen M. Peterson

Eileen M. Peterson (Boggess), a devout Christian, age 70, of Deland, Fl, entered the gates of Heaven on April 6th, 2013 while surrounded by her loving family. Eileen was born on December 29th, 1942 in Amsterdam , OH to the late Marvin and Addie (Dooley) Boggess. Eileen was a women of faith and received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior early in her life. She was a very loving, beautiful and angelic, wife, mother, sister and friend. We lost our angel here on earth, but look forward to the day we will see her again. Family and friends were Eileen's passion and delight. She loved to travel, keep a tidy house and play Mexican Railroad, Yahtzee and Rummikub. Eileen was the most loving, caring, non-judgmental person anyone could ever meet. You were a precious gift from God above, so much beauty, grace and love. You touched our hearts in so many ways, your smile so bright even on the bad days. You heard God's whisper calling you home, you didn't want to go and leave us alone. You loved us so much, you held on tight, till all your strength was gone and you could no longer fight. He had called your name many times before, you knew you couldn't make him wait anymore. So you gave your hand to God and slowly drifted away, knowing that with our love we will be together again someday. Until that day arrives, we will hold on to all the love you gave each and everyone of us and cherish all our precious memories. We love you so much. Eileen is survived by her loving, caring and devoted husband of 52 years, David Peterson, whom she married on January 6, 1961. One son, Randy (RuthAnn) Peterson of Albuquerque, NM; Two daughters, Tina (Dennis) Arbogast of Massillon; Tamara (Steven) Dooley of Deland, FL; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Michael, Krystal, David, Megan and Hannah. Three great grandchildren, Ciara, Jacob and Aiden. Four sisters, Dorothy Miller of Waynesburg, OH, Florence (Joe) McClosky of Carrollton, OH, Juanita (David) Guess of Amsterdam, OH and her twin sister Maxine (Daryl) Bowers of Plain City, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by 3 brothers, Raymond, Leonard (Bob) and Harley Boggess. Funeral Services will be Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Church of God in Amsterdam, Ohio with Pastor David Guess officiating. Burial will follow in the Simmons Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home in Carrollton Thursday from 6 PM �" 8 PM.
