    Andrew "Drew" Dodds Owner/ Funeral Director/ Embalmer

    Drew has been with Dodds Funeral Homes since 2005. A 2000 graduate of Carrollton High School he went on to earn his degree from Muskingum University and the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He is a current member of Carrollton First United Methodist Church, is a Past Master of Carroll Masonic Lodge #124 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, Carrollton Civic Club, Carrollton High School Athletic Boosters. Previously he has served as Council President on the Village of Amsterdam Council, board member of the Carroll County Commission for the Advancement of the Arts, treasurer of Carrollton High School Trap Shooting Club, and board member of Carrollton Alumni Association. He and his wife, Holly, live with their son and dog on their family farm in Perrysville.

    Kara Farkas Apprentice

    Kara has recently moved to the Village of Carrollton from Cuyahoga Falls after earning her Associates Degree in Funeral Service Arts and Science from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science in 2020. She graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies and worked as a 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatcher before deciding to pursue her dream of becoming a Funeral Director. She is currently serving her apprenticeship and looks forward to continuing to serve the families of the Carrollton and Amsterdam areas once fully licensed.

  • Bob Dunlap

    Bob Dunlap Associate

    Bob has been associated with Dodds Funeral Home, and formerly Sweeney-Dodds Funeral Home, both full time and part time since 1964. He retired in 2004 as a manager for automobile dealerships. He is a member of Carrollton Church of Christ (Christian Disciples), Carrollton Jaycees/Civic Club, Carroll County Vets Club and Fraternal Order of Eagles. Bob has served on both the Carrollton Board of Education and Carrollton Village Council in the past. He is married to his wife, Charlotte, with whom he shares six adult children and six grandchildren.

    John Rutledge Associate

    John has been an Associate with Dodds Funeral Home since 2011. John had previously worked for 31 years at the Timken Company. An active member of our community he is a member of the Carrollton Civic Club, Carrollton Ruritans, Carrollton Band Boosters (past President and Vice President), life member and board member of Carroll County Historical Society, Caroll Lodge #124 F. & A.M., Minerva Chapter #123, Loyalty Council #146, and Carrollton High School Alumni Association President & VP. John is married to his wife, Susan, and they have two children and two grandchildren.

    Gary Pepperling Associate

    Gary has been an Associate with Dodds Funeral Home since 2015. He is a life long resident of Amsterdam. He is a U.S. Army Veteran and memberships include, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 232 Amsterdam, United Methodist Church of Amsterdam, Unionport and Carroll Lodge F.& A.M. (serving as a Past Master in Unionport), and ScottishRite of Steubenville. He and his wife, Cindy, have three children and five grandchildren all residing in the Amsterdam area.

  • Denny Roudebush

    Denny Roudebush Associate

    Denny has been an Associate with Dodds Funeral Home since 2015. A lifetime resident of Carrollton, he graduated from Muskingum University and Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. He worked for over 30 years in the electric utility industry and 5 years as Carrollton Village Administrator. He is a member of the Carrollton First United Methodist Church where he serves on the Board of Trustees, treasurer of the Carrollton Civic Club, Carroll County Historical Society, treasurer of Coley's Reunion and Scholarship Committee, Carroll County Chamber of Commerce, Carroll County Foundation, and served as President of the Community Improvement Corporation.
